W for Who, What, When, Where and Why

Who?

Rebecca Leigh, 20 year old English Language student from Manchester.

What?

This blog is an insight into the things that make me smile (read: things that I spent student loan on). No doubt I will eventually end up rambling on about my life but I promise not to get too personal and emotional, I will stick to the clothes and beauty products which are much more interesting.

I love looking at OFTD posts as I am nosy and it helps give me ideas and inspiration for my own style. In my lectures I spend 50% of my time looking at other peoples outfits and the other 50 looking for a pen/doodling/ applying carmex/ listening to the lecture. I am not very good with camera's, i always forget to take my camera out with me and when i do half of the pictures are missing heads.

When?

B for becki started in February 2012. I have been talking about starting a blog for over a year now and I finally took the plunge after a lot of thought, who says I am not spontaneous?!

I am very shy when it comes to my work and personal life so it has taken me a while to finally pluck up the courage and put myself out there. One other major concern I had is technology. I repel it. For someone who spends more than three hours a day at a computer I am completely useless, I can just about turn it on.  But I promise to work on it.

Where?

I am currently in my second year at Lancaster University so I live in student house with two of my best friends. I spilt my time between Lancaster and Manchester, my home town. I love Lancaster, it is small town filled with students and old people. However I am a Manchester girl at heart; Lancaster’s new look and tiny topshop just cannot compete with Manchester.

Why?

I have always loved magazines. My mum has always read them and I have been reading them for as long as I can remember. I always prefer magazines about fashion and beauty. I have always loved make-up, when I was younger I always used to watch my mum and grandma getting ready and copy them.

Glamour is my favourite magazine as it covers fashion and beauty but it is not limited by this and covers a wide range of topics alongside all the glamour. I feel that the blogs I read and enjoy fit into fashion and beauty category. I hope that my blog will share my love of fashion and beauty alongside some of my other interests.
